deja vu

Look what came in the mail

I was super excited to see this today when I got home. It was a bit strange because MAC had sent me one the day before with a brief overview of the Spring Colour Forecast. This one however contained 4 cards one for each set that gave pictures and prices for the products. Btw excuse my tired face, I just came home from school.

Aren't they cute? Amber and Pink caught my eye because they are more neutral and more my taste. I'm going to drop by the mall tomorrow and see if they have this collection out on the shelves.

What are you getting from Spring Colour Forecast?

My Beauty Diary sheet masks

So happy that I was able to pick up a box today. These are highly recommended from fellow beauty bloggers so I was psyched to get my hands on some. =)

I chose the Bulgarian White Rose Masks based on reviews from MUA. They come in sets of 10 for $15.99 CND or sets of 2 for $4.33 at T&T groceries.

The white rose masks are for moisturizing and adding radiance to the skin. The dry winter environment here hasn't been the best friend to my skin. The sheets are soaked in an essence and you simply line up the holes with your own face and kick back and relax as your skin absorbs the goodness. You need to leave these on for about 20-30 minutes.

I'm going to test them out for a bit and blog about any results in the future, I want to try the strawberry yogurt mask as well.

They had a big variety of these at T&T. The ones that I saw were:
  • Black pearl
  • Pearl powder
  • Chocolate polyphenol
  • Bulgarian White Rose of course
  • Strawberry yogurt
  • Natto (some sort of Japanese bean)
  • Red wine
  • Q10 rejuvenating
  • Aloe
  • Apple polyphenol
  • Provence lavender
  • Sake yeast
They also had the luxury line of masks including:
  • Whitening truffle mask
  • Platinum hydra mask
These were pricier 6 for $19.99.

I couldn't find much info about these masks online especially from people in the GTA so I hope this helps some people out there.

Bag Lady

I've been a makeup junkie for a few years now but my life long passion has been bags & purses. I don't even remember when this obsession started but I have always had a thing for them. I even used to work in a purse store, which was pure torture because I would use my pay cheque to buy more purses. lol
I wasn't supposed to buy anymore for awhile because I had spent a very pretty penny on my first Louis Vuitton but I saw this clutch that I had been eyeing all season. It was on sale at French Connection earlier but I resisted it and didn't think I would see it again.

Imagine my surprise and luck today when I saw this on sale at the store. I immediately snapped that baby up! The sales associate was able to get me a brand new one still wrapped from the back. The display clutch had some scratches on it.

He even gave me a gift box so I can store it when it's not in use. It didn't come with a dust bag.

This clutch is huge and I love the details on the front. It just fits in the box.

It's also available online. The original price online is $68, on the price tag it says $58 but I got it on sale for $39.99.

Definitely taking this baby out tomorrow night =)

IMATS 2009

This Saturday I attended the first IMATS in Toronto. I went with my friend C who is a fellow beauty product junkie. We arrived just after 10, unfortunately missing the Eve Pearl talk. The first stop for me was the Crown Brushes booth. It was madness as girls were crowded around the bins grabbing and testing the brushes. I got 3 brushes for $16 pretty good deal.

We made our way over to the Make Up For Ever booth. On the way there we saw
Sanderlees at the Hakuhodo booth. We chatted with her for a bit and I loved her LV Damier Neverfull. So cute! She asked if we had gone to MUFE booth yet and told us it would be a long wait. She was not kidding! We waited in line for about an hour!! smh

While we were in line we spotted Elessa (Pursebuzz) and Koren (Enkore) arriving. We were so excited to see them and a little starstruck lol. We took turns holding our place in the MUFE line to take pictures and chat with them.

Both of them were really nice and took a picture with anyone who asked. We also attended Koren's class later on. Front row centre =) and Pursebuzz was his surprise model. I was kinda disappointed that MAC didnt have a booth there and NARS was selling for retail price. The food there was also such a ripoff! The choices were limited, I got a small chicken sandwich for $7.50! smh

Bend it like Beckham

I watched this movie for the first time today. It was really entertaining and I found myself laughing and able to relate to all the crazy behaviour of Jes and Jules' parents. Though my parents aren't as strict as Jes' are, I know how she feels when they still treat you as if you are a little girl and they feel they need to protect you from the world out there.

On another note Jonathan Rhys Meyers is very cute as the leading man :)

Watercolour sky's contest

She's having another contest but this time there are Marcelle cosmetics goodies up for grabs. Canadian makeup represent! Here's the link for her contest
